This poster was created circa 1915 by an anonymous artist to promote the Eau de Vie liqueur called La Saitongeoise made in the Charente region of France. Eau de Vie (French for "water of life") is a clear, colorless fruit brandy that is produced by means of fermentation and double distillation and it can also be made from grapes. The fruit flavor is typically very light.
The poster image also lets us know that this product won a Gold Medal in London in 1801.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
