In the Post World War ll era, Howard Hughes as the owner of TWA was a dominant force in expanding and promoting the routes flown by his company. As the economy was vastly improving, airline travel for business and pleasure was on the upswing and posters such as this were instrumental in promoting this form of travel. Created by the gifted American artist, David Klein, the image portrays but one of many sights to be found in Los Angeles over 50 years ago.
