Roger Broders created this vintage travel poster for the PLM (Paris à Lyon et à la Méditerranée) railroad company with an extraordinary view of the river Doubs and the 16th century streets of city of Besancon, who’s history goes back to Roman times. The Citadel at the top of the image was built by Louis XIV after his conquest of Franche-Compte from Spain and is one of Besancon’s most well-known landmarks.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
