- Quinquina Bonnet is a French wine-based aperitif advertisement from circa 1925. The poster features a man dressed in a turn of the century tuxedo. He sports elaborate sideburns, known as ďside whiskersĒ, which were out of fashion by the time of this advertisement. The style of the illustration refers back to the earlier poster designs of the turn of the century, making the design choice suited as a ďretroĒ piece. The bold red background and singular figure help to relay a more contemporary handling of the retro piece. The advertisement would have been understood at the time to be referring to the classic and status qualities of the drink. This is an Original Vintage Poster. It is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
