Chanson d'Amour (Song of Love) was a three act French operetta created by Hughes Delorme and Léon Abric, which premiered in Paris on the 7th of May,1921. The operetta was an adaptation of Das Dreimäderlhaus, and is a fictionalized account of Schubert's love life adapted from the 1912 novel Schwammerl by Rudolf Hans Bartsch. The music was composed by Franz Schubert.

Georges Dola (1872-1950) was born in Dole - a town in Eastern France. Dola's birth name was Edouard Vernier but he painted under the name of Georges Dola, having taken his name from his hometown. He was a painter, printer (specializing in lithography), and a graphic designer. He was also well known for his sheet music covers and his operetta poster works. He worked in Paris, mostly in the film and advertising industries.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for the poster. You sent it on Thursday and it was delivered the following Monday (nearly quicker than it took us to get home) to our house in Perth, Australia. We have just had it framed. We love it; it goes perfectly with the room.
