This simple but effective design promotes travel to the Mont Blanc region of France throughout the year. Traditionally, the French Alps are known for their skiing and Winter Sports. This poster encourages us to consider the other seasons to explore this extremely beautiful region.
Mont Blanc itself is the largest mountain in the Alps. It defines the border between Italy and France, and the mountain is often claimed as belonging to both countries and open to debate. This poster was created only a few years after a major tunnel was created through the mountain, significantly creating an easier method by which to visit the area. Tourism boomed in this post-war era, and all-year travel was a new possibility.
The artist, Y. Laty created a small handful of posters for other areas in this region. Unfortunately, there is very little information about the artist available.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
