Jean Julien created a number of stunning travel posters for PLM (Compagnie des chemins de fer de Paris à Lyon et à la Méditerranée) in the 1920s. This bold example from 1927 advertises the tourist attractions of Montpellier, including the famous statue of Louis XIV on horseback, the Cathedral of St. Pierre, and the Chateau d’Eau. Montpellier lies in Southern France and is capital of the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
