  • Paris Haute Couture Hat is a 1982 poster by Razzia, which announces the Paris fashion season. “Haute Couture” or High Fashion is a unique term for Parisian fashion and refers to the major exhibitions that take place semi-annually in Paris in January and July. These dresses and garments are constructed by hand using time consuming skilled needlework techniques, and expensive and unusual fabric of the highest quality. A garment made as Haute Couture is custom tailored for each specific wearer.
The artist, Razzia (Gerard Courbouleix) b. 1950, is a living French artist who has created hundreds of original posters during his prolific 30 year career. He has specialized in bringing his unique art deco inspired look to many fashion posters, as well as events sponsored by Louis Vuitton throughout the years. This poster typifies that style.
