Maurice Utrillo created this small vintage poster around 1920. He was a prolific fine artist from the notorious neighborhood of Montmartre, Paris, but created only a few commercial posters. This example for a Billiards Club depicts a fashionable woman playing the sport. The way the artist uses her dress to form part of the border of the image shows the influence of the Art Nouveau style, which influenced graphic and decorative art of the day.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster was printed on heavyweight paper and is in excellent condition, and has been mounted onto cardboard.
We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
