This vintage poster was created in 1925 for Andre Laine Champagne. A young woman with a quintessential 1920s finger wave hairstyle happily sips the champagne. Though today we often drink champagne from flute-type glasses, in the 1920s “coupe” glasses such as this, originally made in England and especially for champagne, were the standard choice to drink it in. The broad glass allowed the carbonation to leave more quickly, which went well with the sweet champagnes popular during this time period.
