Megev is a ski resort located in the French Alps. It was built in the 1910s by a private family and in the 1920s a hotel was added and it became known as a luxurious place for winter sports. In this vintage ski poster from 1955 an anonymous artist has used a stunning view of the sunny slopes to advertise for the resort. At the time this poster was created, Megev was one of the most popular ski destinations in Europe, attracting celebrities and the wealthy. The resort was the location of the opening scene in the 1963 film “Charade,” where Audrey Hepburn’s and Carey Grant’s characters first meet.
