This vintage travel poster advertises travel by rail to Brest, which is located in the northwestern region of Brittany, France. During the Middles ages, Brest became a military arsenal and harbor which was fortified. This image of the harbor was created before WWII, when it was bombed and almost completely destroyed during the Battle of Brest. It has since been re-built and today it is known as a university town.
