The collection, reproduced from the original works of ninety-seven artists in a smaller 11 x 15 inch format, was put together by Jules Chéret, the father of poster art and distributed between 1895 – 1900. The varied selection of prints were sold in packages of four and delivered monthly to subscribers. Designed for a subscription audience it showcased the most influential posters of the era in a collectible small format. Gustave Fraipont (1849-1923) created many travel and railway posters with detailed landscapes and scenery. He was born in Belgium, but lived and worked in France as an adult. He enjoyed a career as an illustrator and graphic artist, teaching courses and publishing books on these subjects.To-Day Magazine was a British imprint which ran from 1893 - 1905. It dates from a time when \"today\" was hyphenated as two words; it was not until the 1920s that the phrase began to be spelled as one word.This is an original vintage print, not a reproduction. This poster is on heavyweight paper, and is in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.","brand":"Gustave Fraipont","offers":[{"title":"C1900 \/ 11 \/ 15","offer_id":50455237591286,"sku":"13219","price":176.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0050\/5728\/2122\/files\/Maitres-De-LAffiche-Pl-218-Pierrefonds-Compiegne-et-Coucy-Poster.jpg?v=1776634631","url":"https:\/\/postergroup.com\/en-fr\/products\/maitres-de-l-affiche-pl-218-pierrefonds-compiegne-et-coucy-13219","provider":"The Ross Art Group","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
