Lighthouse Footwear is a 1979 advertisement by pop artist, Andy Warhol (1928-1987). Warhol began his career in design by illustrating and designing footwear long before he went on to fame and fortune. He continued to create advertising alongside his pop art pieces, often times merging both areas of the arts. Here, Warhol advertises the snake-skin shoes for women using the reptile as the motif. This is a beautiful example of his advertising artwork, executed during his lifetime.
