{"product_id":"klm-the-flying-dutchman-5390","title":"KLM - The Flying Dutchman","description":"K.L.M.-The Flying Dutchman is a circa 1950 Dutch travel poster by Joop Van Heusden (1920-2013). Van Heusden created many mid-century travel posters for K.L.M. His artwork ranged from painterly scenes, exhibited in this poster design, to technical schematic illustrations of their various passenger airliners. The image highlights K.L.M.'s slogan, “The Flying Dutchman,” which was used throughout the mid-20th Century. The poster also reads “Maintaining A Fine Tradition.” The artwork relates the folklore of the Flying Dutchman, an ever-traveling sea vessel, to K.L.M.'s continuous trans-continental flights. K.L.M. (Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij), known as the Royal Dutch Airlines, is an aviation company founded in 1919 by Albert Plesman. In 2003, K.L.M. and Air France agreed to a merger plan in which they would become subsidiaries of a holding company called Air France-KLM. K.L.M. is the oldest airline still operating under its original name to this day.This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.","brand":"Joop Van Heusden","offers":[{"title":"C1950 \/ 23.75 \/ 39.25","offer_id":49791137906934,"sku":"5390","price":1180.0,"currency_code":"SGD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0050\/5728\/2122\/files\/KLM-The-Flying-Dutchman-Poster.jpg?v=1765834663","url":"https:\/\/postergroup.com\/en-sg\/products\/klm-the-flying-dutchman-5390","provider":"The Ross Art Group","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
