  • During the Second World War, many art styles were used to highlight important public announcements. It Is Goot To Hear- For Victory, makes use of the cartoon illustration style popularized by Walt Disney and Dr. Seuss, who also produced American propaganda posters. The artwork was created by an anonymous artist in 1942, at the beginning of WWII. The humor is fun and direct depicting Adolf Hitler as a fool who confuses the German “Bund” for American Bonds. However, the joke helps drive an important message to contribute 10% to support the war effort.
