  • The Chocolat Menier Company was one of the leading producers in France with distribution throughout many countries in Europe. It is particularly well known for its many advertising and promotional pieces ( posters, note books, savings banks, etc.) that were primarily based on the image of a little girl with pigs tails as created by the artist Firmin Bouisset. This particular poster was issued in conjunction of a book to do with travels around the capitals of countries around the world. The book was sponsored by Chocolat Menier and intended for young people.
The detail of each destination in the image is reminiscent of the planispheres of Air France as executed by Lucien Boucher. One can only fantasize about the journey as depicted in this poster.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
