    The artist Gigorgio Muggiani (1887 – 1938) was an Italian illustrator and pioneer of advertising illustration who is also well known for his contribution to creating and designing the uniform for the Milan International Football club. Muggiani attended Institut auf dem Rosenberg in Switzerland and was the son of a family of wealthy Milanese merchants. Some of Muggiani’s most important illustrations and campaigns for Italian products include those for Cinzano, Pirelli, Societa di Navigazione, La Rinascente, Martini, Biscotti Lazaroni and Moto Guzzi.
