  • To sell Dr. Bonn's dentifrice, Guillaume gives us a very accurate portrait of a turn-of-the-twentieth-century kiosk-a "Morris column," as it was called, after the Morris printing firm, whose letterpress posters dominated such hoardings. From a small table at the opening to the left, a lady usually sat and sold the day's newspapers and magazines. Guillaume was one of the most prolific illustrators of his day, displaying thirty-two of his posters in the landmark Reims exhibition in 1896 and acting as a regular contributor of numerous illustrations to such journals as "Gil Blas" and "Figaro Illustre".
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
