Tessin is a 1943 Swiss travel poster to the canton of Ticino created by Daniele Buzzi. The area carries a German nickname of Sonnenstube or “sun porch” due to the regions more mild temperatures and longer hours of sunshine in comparison to the rest of the country.
Daniele Buzzi (1890-1974) was graphic designer and poster artist who is well known for his many Swiss travel posters. He is known for his distinct fauvist color palette, which is more pronounced in his earlier work.
