Tai - La Plus Importante is a circa 1950 travel poster by the artist, Vic, for the private French travel and shipping company, Transports Aériens Intercontinentaux. The private airline was founded in 1946 and operated until 1963. The text promotes the airline as the “the largest private French company.” TAI was based at Orly Airport in Paris and offered numerous routes to North Africa, Polynesia, Australia and Asia. In 1959, the company was averaging 11 flights a week. In 1963, TAI merged with Union Aeromaritime de Transport to form UTA French Airlines.
