This Belgian poster from c1930 was created to advertise dye for lace curtains commissioned by the brand Alsa. The Belgian brand claimed that their dye would not fade after washing the curtains or from direct exposure to sunlight.
In the image, a woman indoors is behind a see-through lace curtain dyed in orange with Alsa dye. Lace is part of Flemish culture and heritage; it can be traced back to the 15th century. Knowing the history, it makes sense to find a poster for a product so specific, a dye only for lace curtains. The lettering in Dutch Gordijnen Verf, translates to Curtains' Dye.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
