Keep America Rolling is a World War II public service announcement from 1942 by Rutlidge. During the war, the United States heavily promoted conservation of war materials such as metal and rubber. The poster makes use of black and white photography of a man happily selling his extra tire to the U.S. government for use overseas. The text promotes the idea of the consumer only keeping a single tire as a spare to prevent hoarding of limited materials.
