SABENA is an acronym for The Societé Anonyme Belge d'Exploitation de la Navigation Aérienne, or Belgian Corporation for Air Navigation Services. It was an airline based in Belgium, started in the 1930s, which flew to European destinations and Belgian colonies. It was the national airline for Belgium until 2001 when its assets were sold off and it became what is today Brussels Airlines.
This graphic was created by an artist named Hohet who created other images for Sabena in the 1950's. Little is known about him. The image uses a crisp graphic style to promote the message of round trip travel between Brussels, Belgium and New York. The message is presented in a very effective manner.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
