Spain Dancers - Villemot

The Spanish Government commissioned Bernard Villemot in the 1950’s to create a group of travel posters to promote various interesting sites within Spain. This poster is one from that group that were done in a much more artistic and less graphic manner by Villemot. In this image, Villemot makes excellent use of the iconic images of Flamenco dancers associated with Spain by most foreigners. Set against a backdrop of buildings in the Spanish style of architecture, it serves to promote some of the enjoyment to be found by a visitor to Spain. This is the English version of the poster , there are other variants in other languages including French.
