Alice Soulie is a 1926 French cabaret entertainment poster by Jean-Gabriel Domergue. The poster features Alice Soulie, a cabaret performer who was also rumored to be a transvestite. Soulie is presented with short blonde hair and long pearl rope necklace holding a large black feather fan. Like many performance posters of the era, a generic image would have been commissioned to which a banner would be added with the performer's scheduled appearances and locations to the top or bottom of the poster.
Jean-Gabriel Domergue (1889-1962) was well known for his portraits of Parisian women and is regarded by some as the father of the "Pin-Up." He had a particular interest in fashion and designed haute couture clothing for Paul Poiret.
