Carl Kunst created this vintage ski poster circa 1915. Besides his career as an artist, Kunst was also a mountaineer, making him perfect to design this ad for the Munich-made ski equipment company Bilgeri-Ski Ausruestung. He used this design for another ski poster a year later in which he added a skier fastening his bindings and adjusted the mountains in the background for another ski equipment dealer in Berlin. It is said that the mountain in this image is of the Matterhorn in Switzerland
