Chanson d'Amour (Song of Love) was a three act French operetta created by Hughes Delorme and Léon Abric, which premiered in Paris on the 7th of May,1921. The operetta was an adaptation of Das Dreimäderlhaus, and is a fictionalized account of Schubert's love life adapted from the 1912 novel Schwammerl by Rudolf Hans Bartsch. The music was composed by Franz Schubert.

Georges Dola (1872-1950) was born in Dole - a town in Eastern France. Dola's birth name was Edouard Vernier but he painted under the name of Georges Dola, having taken his name from his hometown. He was a painter, printer (specializing in lithography), and a graphic designer. He was also well known for his sheet music covers and his operetta poster works. He worked in Paris, mostly in the film and advertising industries.
