This print depicts a classic car in front of La Grande Cascade, a c1850 Michelin starred restaurant in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. It is hand signed by Noyer in pencil.
Philippe Henri Noyer (1917-1985) was a French artist who was classically trained as a painter and illustrator in Paris. He began his career in earnest as a student at the prestigious Paul Colin School of Art. He became known for his lean, elegant figures and mastery of color. While Noyer created many prints in his career, his is best known for his portraits, which he created of many celebrities of his time such as Elizabeth Taylor and Dinah Shore.
