In this charming image of San Francisco, the artist Stan Galli portrays an iconic cable car that is transporting people to some of the downtown destinations in the heart of San Francisco.

Stan Galli (1912 - 2009) was a well-known illustrator and painter who devoted the majority of his career to advertising art of all sorts. Mr. Galli's art hangs in the Pentagon, the Baseball Hall of Fame and other places of note; his work has been shown at the Smithsonian Institution, the New York Historical Society and the Grand Central Gallery in New York.
