A merry figure represents the Chateau Roubaud Rosé Wine in this vintage poster from 1931. Art Deco artist Léon Dupin uses the simple figure three ways to create depth and movement. He depicts his character toasting to the good life, "la vie en rose." Leon Dupin, (1898-1971) was a self-taught illustrator who produced a number of great posters in the 1930's. He began working under Joseph Charles in 1936 and turned down a Walt Disney Studios proposal to remain working in Paris. In 1939 he helped to found the Poster Academy. Dupin was also a photographer as well as an active painter towards the later part of his life.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
