The poster "Plateau Blossoms with Dazhai Flowers" portrays the scene of Tibetan people in China's Tibet Autonomous Region learning from the Dazhai spirit and engaging in agricultural production. The image captures a joyful procession on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, where Tibetan people and Liberation Army soldiers walk together. Two red flags, one written in Tibetan and the other in Chinese, bear the message "Learn from Dazhai in Agriculture." On one side of the procession are goats, symbolizing the traditional livelihood of Tibetan people - animal husbandry. On the other side are yaks carrying abundant rice and prosperous farmland, symbolizing the successful agricultural development and improved living conditions achieved by the Tibetan people after learning from Dazhai. In the distance, advanced agricultural machinery is visible.

The Dazhai village referred to here is located in Xiyang County, Shanxi Province. The region faced adverse natural conditions and poor land quality. Under the guidance of the Party branch, the people of Dazhai started their endeavor in 1953, by cutting through mountains, building terraces, and transforming the land. Upon learning about their efforts, Chairman Mao Zedong praised and recognized the people of Dazhai for their dedication and hard work. In December 1964, Premier Zhou Enlai called for a movement to "Learn from Daqing in Industry, Learn from Dazhai in Agriculture, and Learn from the People's Liberation Army" during the Government Work Report at the Third National People's Congress. Subsequently, the "Learn from Dazhai in Agriculture" movement was launched nationwide.
