Created to promote the landmark Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes held in Paris from April through October 1925, this remarkable poster by Charles Loupot is one of the defining graphic works of the Art Deco era. The exhibition introduced the world to a revolutionary design movement that would later become known simply as "Art Deco," influencing architecture, furniture, fashion, industrial design, and the graphic arts for decades to come.Loupot's striking composition brilliantly captures the exhibition's central theme—the harmonious union of art and industry. A modern factory with towering smokestacks occupies the lower portion of the design, while the billowing smoke transforms into the delicate petals of a stylized rose. The 1925 Paris Exposition attracted more than sixteen million visitors from around the world and showcased the work of leading architects, designers, artists, and manufacturers. The exhibition established Paris as the international center of modern decorative arts and gave its name to one of the twentieth century's most influential artistic movements. Charles Loupot (1892–1962) was one of France's most celebrated poster artists and graphic designers. After studying at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, he established himself as a master of modern advertising during the 1920s and 1930s. Influenced by Cubism, Purism, and the emerging Art Deco style, Loupot developed a bold visual language characterized by simplified forms, dramatic contrasts, and memorable symbolism. His iconic advertising campaigns for Saint-Raphaël, Voisin Automobiles, and numerous luxury brands helped redefine commercial art in France and remain among the finest achievements of twentieth-century poster design. This smaller-format edition is considerably scarcer than the larger version issued for the exposition and is highly sought after by collectors of Art Deco design and French graphic arts. It stands as both an important historical document and a masterpiece of modern poster design, representing one of the pivotal moments in the evolution of twentieth-century visual culture. This is an Original Vintage Poster, it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all our posters.
