As World War ll progressed there were more messages of unity in the posters that were created. In this image we see the flags of the United States, France, and England along with views of the naval fleet and air force fighter planes going to battle the enemy. The Marianne French Girl in the center is emblematic of the need to rally and support France and its people. The efforts of War Relief in America were strategically very significant in helping to uphold the courage and morale of the people in the embattled areas.

The poster was created c1943 by Louis Fernez (1900 - 1984) who was a notable French painter who spent most of his career in Algiers. He was known for his depiction of the Marianne, the female symbol of France.
