The United Netherlands Navigation Company was formed in 1920 as a conglomerate of eight titans of the Dutch shipping world, combining to establish even greater domination of the global market of shipping. By 1924, the merger combined their African routes into one umbrella company, the Holland Afrika line. Here we see the joys of a maiden voyage on the Line's latest vessel in 1958.
Frans Mettes (1909-1984) was a Dutch illustrator, who we unfortunately were not able to find out much about aside from his images for Hamburg Lines.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
