This original poster advertises La Térésina, an operetta in three acts. The play was adaptated by Mrs. Leon UHL and Jean Marietti and featured music by Oscar Strauss.

Georges Dola (1872-1950) was born in Dole - a town in Eastern France. Dola's birth name was Edouard Vernier but he painted under the name of Georges Dola, having taken his name from his hometown. He was a painter, printer (specializing in lithography), and a graphic designer. He was also well known for his sheet music covers and his operetta poster works. He worked in Paris, mostly in the film and advertising industries.
