Lazzaroni Biscotti - La Mia Felicita

Lazzaroni is an Italian brand that distributes and makes several biscuits and bakery products and traces its roots to 1888. Its trademark product is the Amaretti di Saronno cookie, which features sugar, bitter almonds, and egg whites. They expanded greatly in the following decades, and this poster features such exotic flavors as banana and tapioca.

The artist Gigorgio Muggiani (1887 – 1938) was an Italian illustrator and pioneer of advertising illustration also well known for his contribution of creating and designing the uniform for the Milan International Football club. Muggiani attended Institut auf dem Rosenberg in Switzerland and was the son of a family of wealthy Milanese merchants. Some of Muggiani’s most important illustrations and campaigns for Italian products include those for Cinzano, Pirelli, Societa di Navigazione, La Rinascente, Martini, Biscotti Lazaroni and Moto Guzzi.
