A bucolic and quiet scene of the Les Grisons region of Switzerland is shown in this charming image by Alois Carigiet. This bilingual travel poster was printed by the Swiss National Tourist Bureau in 1944 to promote travel to the country. It was likely printed in both English and French to appeal to travelers from both nations, during a time of renewed travel after the end of WWII.
Alois Carigiet (1902-1985) was a Swiss illustrator and graphic designer best known for his children's book illustrations. His style is loosely influenced by Fauvism and Expressionism.
This is an Original Vintage Poster. It is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
