During World War II, the United States Government issued a number of posters encouraging domestic workers to aid the war effort by increasing their production. This bold and well executed image very effectively stresses how necessary ship production was to winning the war in the Pacific Theater, especially in the later stages of the war.


Howard Scott (1902-1983) was an American graphic artist who primarily created commercial art. He designed many effective billboard designs over the course of his career, in addition to numerous illustrations for the Saturday Evening Post. He served in the Navy during WWII.
