This vintage travel poster was created by well-known artist Daniele Buzzi who depicts a bird's eye view of the coast of Lake Maggiore in Italy. The lake rests at the foot of the Alps where the Locarno spa is busy year-round. The poster also shows the Madonna del Sasso Sanctuary, a Medieval pilgrimage site.
Daniele Buzzi (1890-1974) was graphic designer and poster artist who is well known for his many Swiss travel posters. He is known for his distinct fauvist color palette, which is more pronounced in his earlier work.
