Loterie Romande - Carousel
Loterie Romande - Carousel
(44cm x 63cm)
Loterie Romande-Carousel is a 1943 French-language Swiss lottery advertisement by Bes. The piece announces the lottery to be held on the 11th of December of that year. The artwork is fun and uses the allusion of winning the golden ring at a carousel to playing the Loterie Romande.
The Loterie Romande was founded by the Lottery Society of French-speaking Switzerland in 1937. These cantons are noted by the various crests in the artwork of the carousel. Loterie Romande currently participates in all forms of betting including lottery, scratch off games, sports betting and most recently online. The lottery benefits the public with much of the profit going towards social and charitable causes.

If there's anything you want to know about posters, vintage or more modern, there's nothing Mr Ross doesn't know. His open and friendly manner helps one to choose the most suitable material whether for decoration, investment or whatever... I can't recommend him highly enough.

Just wanted to say thanks for the poster. You sent it on Thursday and it was delivered the following Monday (nearly quicker than it took us to get home) to our house in Perth, Australia. We have just had it framed. We love it; it goes perfectly with the room.

The Ross Gallery has the best selection of vintage posters I have ever seen. Seriously, if you are in the market, they are the people. And, they know everything there is to know about the posters' provenance.
