Aside from its plentiful beaches, glamorous boutiques, and car rallies, Monte Carlo is most known for its casinos. Charles Loupot (1892-1962) created this clever design in 1937 to mirror the look and feel of the many table games played (and money bet) in the famous halls of this tiny country on the French Riviera.
Charles Loupot is considered one of the best poster artists of the Art Deco era, alongside A.M. Cassandre, Paul Colin, and Jean Carlu. Loupot studied art in the School of Fine Arts of Lyon and started his career in Switzerland. In the 1920s as his fame grew he started receiving better commissions and decided to move to Paris. Loupot opened his studio in Montmartre and designed posters for many brands. He is perhaps best known for his different designs for for the aperitif company, St. Raphael Quinquina, with whom he created many images over the years.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
