
Located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, the town of Morges was once well-known for its horse racing. This classic image of a horse galloping towards us with his jockey and chariot beyond was used in several iterations over the years, mostly with changes to the coloring and text.
Artist Paul Wust (1898-1987) grew up, worked, and studied in the Lake Geneva region of Switzerland. He was a prolific illustrator with a penchant for drawing horses, as shown here.
