Musee Galliera is a museum in Paris, France that specializes in fashion and design. This elegant Art Deco poster was created for their 1929 exhibit of jewelry and other metal objects. An elegant perculator has been abstracted the edge of recognition; in front of it are simplified forms that indicate a radio and a string of pearls. This is an elegant and rare example of true Art Deco poster design.

The Art Deco movement was an offshoot of the groundbreaking 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts. Artists took inspiration from Russian, Persian and Oriental influences, as well as the streamlined stylings of Cubism.
