This charming poster was created by famous cartoonist, Charles Schulz for the Chicago Tribune. The poster promotes placing ads in the newspaper's Want Ads section and features the characters Charlie Brown and Lucy van Pelt from Schulz's famous 'Peanuts' cartoon.

The Chicago Tribune has been the main newspaper in the Great Lakes region since 1847 and is still in the top 10 sold newspapers in the USA. Charles Schulz (1922 - 2000) is widely regarded as one of the most important cartoonists in the field's history. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Schulz returned from WWII and began a life and career as a cartoonist in the Mid-West. His 'Peanuts' comic strip first appeared in the Saturday Evening Post in 1948, and went into sindication in almost every local newspaper in America.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for the poster. You sent it on Thursday and it was delivered the following Monday (nearly quicker than it took us to get home) to our house in Perth, Australia. We have just had it framed. We love it; it goes perfectly with the room.

  • The Ross Gallery has the best selection of vintage posters I have ever seen. Seriously, if you are in the market, they are the people. And, they know everything there is to know about the posters' provenance.
