At the time of the creation of this poster in the mid 1920’s smoking was considered to be very fashionable. This design is very much in the influence of the art deco movement that had just begun. In the image we view the stylized Pelican enjoying his cigarette made of Virginia tobacco which was considered as of very high quality. It is a novel image but very eye catching. Unfortunately, little is known about the artist, Charles Yraz.
This is an Original Vintage Poster. It is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
