The search for the perfect kitchen poster ends here! This charming and lighthearted image was created for the German pasta brand, Perlach c1948. The star of the show in this design is the anthropomorphic pasta-man. The more Perlach he eats, the bigger he gets. It's a quirky image in a great scale and color palette.
Richard Roth (1907-2003) was a German artist who worked for the Dorland advertising company, one of the oldest firms in Europe. Originally founded in America in 1883 by John Dorland, the company moved to London in 1905 and quickly became a top five agency. It was eventually sold in 1970 and has changed names and owners through various mergers and acquisitions since.
Unfortunately, we were unable to learn more about the Perlach company, although it does share its name with a suburb just southeast of Munich. This is the only poster known to be created by the artist, and the only poster known to be made for this brand.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
