Pneu Velo Continental is a c.1910 French Belle Epoque advertisement for bicycle tires. A robed beautiful woman, most likely an allegorical figure, triumphantly holds up the tire in one hand and a victory wreath in the other. Behind her in the distance are pictured a zeppelin and early aircrafts.
Pneu Velo Continental was founded in 1871 in Hanover, Germany. Their business originally focused on pneumatic tires (tires inflated with compressed air) but later branched into automotive parts and rubber recycling. Today the company is known as Continental AG.
