One of the very important functions of the people on the home front during World War I was to financially support the war effort and the soldiers fighting overseas. In this image we see the quotation from the Secretary of the Treasury suggesting that we be more conservation minded in our spending so as to have more money available to support the Army and Navy soldiers depicted. The artist of this poster was William Gibbs and unfortunately not much is known about him.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
