
This art deco influenced poster depicts an elegantly dressed gentleman enjoying his cigarette made with the paper of the Spanish Company of Miguel y Costa. In that era, it was common practice to roll your own cigarettes as needed and cigarette paper was promoted in advertising.
The artist is Ricardo Fabraga (1906- 1947), son of the noted cartoonist, Jose Fabregas Bausili. He learned to paint at the Lonja School of Fine Arts and was known for his work in the field of advertising and book covers.
